Jack Warner

Described by one investigator as the “crook of crooks” in the soccer corruption scandal, Warner was the other half of the Jack-and-Chuck shakedown operation at the top of CONCACAF and FIFA. Warner eventually became too much for even Blazer as he demanded payoffs in front of witnesses and didn’t bother covering the trail of his dirty money. The men had a final falling out when Warner plotted with a wealthy Qatari businessman to pay for votes in a planned takeover of the FIFA presidency. The fissure between the former chums unleashed information leading to crimes that were used to force Blazer’s FBI cooperation in a clandestine operation that eventually toppled FIFA leaders.
